Festival in LA
José Alberto Hermosillo is a writer, film critic, editor, and founder of www.FestivalinLA.com. He received his Associate of Arts degree in Cinema from Los Angeles City College. In 1999, he directed the award-winning short "My Brother/Mi hermano." He then directed the shorts "El Artista" and "The Strange Death of Menfisto Niño." In Los Angeles, he worked as a journalist for six years for Al Borde Magazine and Kiosko News, both publications in Spanish. He collaborated as a script consultant on the film "Tattooed Love," which premiered at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. Mr. Hermosillo covers most international film festivals in LA, as well as special events at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Academy Museum, the guilds, and Hollywood studios. He participated as a jury member at the Voce Spettacolo Film Festival in Matera, Italy; the Feratum Fest 2022 in Michoacán, Mexico; and the Celebrity Film Awards in Italy. Mr. Hermosillo wrote the original screenplay "The Lady's Corsage/El ramo de la novia," a feature film he wishes to direct and produce in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, California.
