Festival in LA
Jose Alberto Hermosillo is a journalist, investor, and filmmaker who graduated as an elementary and middle school teacher and worked for eight years in his hometown. A writer and film critic, he earned an Associate of Arts and a bachelor's degree in Cinema Production from Los Angeles City College. In 1999, he directed the award-winning short film "My Brother/Mi hermano." Later, he created "El Artista" and "The Strange Death of Menfisto Niño," both in short formats. He worked as a journalist for Al Borde Magazine and Kiosko News for six years and served as a script consultant on "Tattooed Love," a film that premiered in Hollywood. In 2014, he founded www.FestivalinLA.com, which has garnered nearly 1.5 million views. Mr. Hermosillo covers international film festivals in Los Angeles. He served as a juror at the Voce Spettacolo Film Festival in Matera, Italy; Feratun Fest 2022 in Michoacán, Mexico; and the Celebrity Film Awards in Italy. Recently, he was named a juror at the prestigious "Shorts Mexico" (Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de México). Mr. Hermosillo wrote "The Lady's Corsage/El ramo de la novia," an original screenplay he plans to direct and produce in Hollywood.
